intro:

simple enough really, a couple of points;

- the links to the left provide a menu/sitemap to navigate by, so you shouldn't get lost

- the blue arrows at the top of the page, to the left of this text are used for scrolling up or down the page, leave the cursor over the up arrow to go up, or the down arrow to go down. The closer to the top or bottom the faster the movement.

Forthcoming Headshop gigs to appear on this page.

13th May 2000 - Manchester Roadhouse

biography:

Headshop are a five piece guitar-based band from the Merseyside area. The lads are scattered about Liverpool in areas such as Huyton, Tuebrook and Crosby. Brothers James and Chris Wynn along with drummer Chris Olly Wilkinson started out as a three-piece cover band back in early 1998.

They then advertised for a lead vocalist through local music shops to which Phil Crowe and Brett Watterson auditioned. After a few months of rehearsing and song writing, the band went out to the local musical circuit and played venues such as the Lomax, the Cavern and the Southport Arts Centre gaining them selves respect from local peers.

18 months down the line, Headshop have been recording what they regard as their best material yet. So far the band have found themselves at home in Studio 33, based in Kirkby. The evidence is there for all to hear of how they delve into various musical styles. “We find the whole experimenting thing exciting which keeps our music fresh and what we feel different. We consider this to be our sound and the crew down at Studio 33 are bringing that sound out” says Phil.

yet another redesign - 09/05/00

After trying to read the site in netscape I decided that there was no way I could leave it as it was, and made a new, browser independent version.

site redesign - 23/04/00

First total redesign of the site, after seeing some DHTML tutorials I decided that it would be an interesting tool to work with. The result is a smaller, faster, and far more difficult to produce site. Though there is an element of fluid design and browser independency this time (i.e. its more likely to work on whatever setup you use to view the internet).

work begins - 14/04/00

After being asked to start work on the headshop homepage the first offline draft was begun.
